Original WWII German M-42 Camo Helmet Brought Home By A U.S. Veteran Certified By The Gettysburg Museum Of History. The helmet retains about 75% of its field-applied, NORMANDY PATTERN camouflage paint in shade of green-tans, with spots of the original brown paint just visible and some wear to the base metal.  All three liner retaining rivets are intact. The age and usage darkened tan M31 leather liner shows chafe wear to the edges and has numerous surface wear.  It is very soft and flexible, and the fingers are intact. The reverse interior neck guard apron serial/lot number.
