Original pistol Bullet Recovered Cashtown (Gettysburg Campaign). A scarce pistol bullet recovered from the Confederate staging area and rest stop just outside Cashtown, PA. This area was passed by thousands of Confederate troops on the way to and from Gettysburg. Many great Confederate artifacts have been found in this area over the years. We have a few of these very Civil War pistol bullets (most are .44 caliber) from one of the old time local diggers we know personally, they were recovered decades ago. They have a rich clean white patina as expected for an excavated piece.
